NickServ is an authentication service,
providing login identification for
the network. NickServ is how you 'log in'
to get access in channels registered
with X-ChanServ, and its how ircops are known
to OpServ and Global.
The help system uses the format:
/MSG NickServ HELP <subject>
(In help, words in <> represent required
parameters. Words in [] are optional.)
For example: /msg NickServ HELP AUTH
shows help for the command to authenticate
with NickServ.
To begin understanding NickServ, try one of the
following commands when connected.
/msg nickserv help
or
/ns help
or
/quote ns help
